Self-Employment

Self-employment is an increasingly popular choice for people with a disability. It allows you the freedom to work in a way that suits your talents and needs.

If you are interested in self-employment, DurhamEnable can help you through the process to give you the best chance of success in your enterprise.

Your Job Coach can help to advise you on planning self-employment, and whether you may need to combine self-employment with a part-time job elsewhere.

DurhamEnable can also help connect you with additional support you may need to plan your business and finances, and help you find out whether you may be eligible for an Access to Work grant to contribute towards equipment, travel, and support costs.

If you think self-employment is right for you, you can discuss the option with a DurhamEnable Job Coach.
