Even though every experience with Supported Employment is different, here are some steps we usually take:
Initial Engagement
We are always looking for opportunities to make connections, network, and build positive relationships with local employers. Our Job Coaches may speak to you at events, meet you at your business, or you may want to approach us to learn about the benefits that hiring staff through us could have for you.
Job Coaches will learn about your recruitment needs and speak to you more about how Supported Employment can help you recruit and retain talented staff.
This is also a great chance to ask us any questions you may have.
Job Analysis
To ensure we match the right person to your business, our Job Coaches will complete a job analysis of the position you are recruiting for.
The job analysis allows us to understand everything about the role and how it fits in your business, so not only can we find the right person for you, we can understand how to best support them in their new role.
Job Matching and Recruiting
Once we know the role, we can match one of our jobseekers to you, by looking at how their skills match your needs, and how well they can integrate into your work environment.
We can set up a work trial which lets our jobseeker prove they can do the work and builds their confidence on the job before they move into paid employment.
Where one of our jobseekers may need specialist equipment in work, we can help you access funding to pay for it.
We can also advise you on reasonable adjustments that can be made at little or no cost to overcome barriers to your new member of staff performing to their full potential.
In Work Support
When you hire staff through us, we continue to give support to both them and your business.
We can help your member of staff settle comfortably into their role and workplace, and help you access training, or funding needed for specialist equipment, so you can retain them.
