Recruiting with DurhamEnable

DurhamEnable provides a recruitment service that is entirely free. To ensure you see our jobseekers at their best, we also offer an alternative to traditional recruitment.

Formal interviews can be daunting to anyone, but for someone who is neurodiverse or has mental health needs it can be even tougher to sell a panel of interviewers on their strengths and skills while under stress.

There is no guarantee that someone who performs well in an interview setting will necessarily perform well on the job, and you stand to lose money if you restart the recruitment process.

DurhamEnable can help set up a work trial or work experience, which allows our candidate to demonstrate their abilities on the job, without being put on the spot.

A work trial can easily transition into paid employment, and you can hire confidently, knowing that your new employee has the skills and experience they need in the role.

Retaining Staff

Staff turnover is a concern for any business, and its something we look out for as well. We want our service users to be fulfilled and comfortable in their new jobs, and we can help you achieve this.

We can offer you and your staff free training on integrating someone with a disability, autism, or mental health needs into your team.

The ongoing support we provide to our service users in work mean we can also identify when an employee is struggling for any reason, and work with you to resolve the issue.
